There are a lot of defining moments in a person’s life, the day you were born. For a Christian it would definitely be the day you gave your life to Jesus. However probably the greatest day is the day you discover what you were born to do. Knowing who you are in Christ and what Christ has called you to do are powerful life changing moments. I believe that every born-again believer has a call from God on his or her life. We cannot all be preachers or missionaries but they are not the only ones with a call from God. I believe that whatever you do you should do it as unto the Lord. However, many people never discover what their spiritual gifts are and as a result never fulfill the purpose that God has for them.

Some people fear finding out what God wants them to do because they are afraid of God sending them some place they do no want to go. However, the truth is that God in twines your spiritual gift with your personality and so what he calls you to do is possible and fulfilling. In fact, when you get in the center of God’s will life is more enjoyable. I really believe that God called me to do my secular job. It is hard for me to believe that they pay me for doing something I enjoy so much. God is awesome and his desire for us is that we would live the abundant life. Personally, I believe that is not in the abundance of things but in peace in the middle of turmoil. God gives Joy when there is nothing to be happy about and satisfaction regardless of the circumstance. You can be happy in abundance or lack if you follow God’s will for your life.
